Start of Term Bash 2010...
The new season begins on Saturday 20th February with the Start of Term Bash. This started out as a Committee meeting to discuss the events calendar, but over the last couple of years has been extended into an excuse for an early get together.
It is held at the Crown and Cushion Hotel in Chipping Norton whose website can be found here.
If you would like to stay over then please contact David Griffiths (See About Us >> Committee) for further information. Only members of the Committee can attend the meeting in the afternoon, but there is plenty to see in the area and there will be lots of people there for a chat and a drink or two!
Make sure you get in quick, as rooms are limited and you will need to let David know if you want to join us for the evening meal.
We are expecting a good turnout of Montes so why not join us. It's always a pleasure to meet new members, put faces to names and see new cars. No problem if you can't stay over, just join us for a natter and maybe a drink and some food.
Le Mans Classic 2010...
Once again we are off to the Le Mans Classic in July 2010. Spaces are limited and it is definitely one not to miss. Just ask anyone who has been.

2008 Season Review
Sad to say that the 2008 season is over, but we have many fond memories of another fantastic year of fun and frolics.
We started off with a superbly put together Technical Forum thanks mainly to the expertise of Geoff Ward and Eric Weston. Unfortunately there wasn't any line dancing in the evening this time, but a great time was had by all.
The LMC was a bit of a washout, but we did get a fair few Montes and the concours winner was Kim Roberts with her yellow car, all the way from Ireland. We are certainly looking forward to meeting up again on our planned tour over there in April 2009 (details nearer the time).
July brought the Le Mans Classic in our favourite Chateaux. What a fantastic time, with great racing, great company, great weather and an endless supply of frothy help-yourself beer kegs. Who could ask for more? Many thanks to Rod and Linda for another wonderful European event. Great to see our Antipodean friend Ben Shaw make a fleeting appearance...in a cute old Fiat 500!
Curborough actually happened this year, with a good mix of rain and shine to make an interesting time. Lots of pirouettes by all, although David Griffiths must have held the record (3 on one circuit!). A good test for Jez Pigden and Eric Weston, taking their cars on the track for the first time.
Thanks to Jez and Jennifer Pigden, the End of Term Bash was as good as ever. A lovely location and glorious weather helped bring together a great driving tour with a mega scalectric Grand Prix and laughs-a-plenty with some owners photos from the 70's. A very entertaining weekend, well put together...Cheers!
Well, what can I say about the NEC Classic Car Show? The stand looked superb, done up as a 70's Lancia showroom, complete with 70's biscuits and all sorts of other period goodies. As you can see from the photo, we hired some right weirdos to really get the desired image. The hotel was in a time-warp, which helped people get in the mood for a bit of 70's groove. Thanks to all, specially David Griffiths and Jez Pigden for all the bits and bobs and David Wilcock for bringing along half his car for us to poke at.
How can we keep this level of enjoyment up year on year? Well, we seem to be able to, which is down to top organisatin of events and also the enthusiasm of all our members to attend. What a Club! Sounds good?...why not Join today!
The calendar for 2009 will be compiled at the end of January. Can't wait for 2009!
